Dear RoboCuppers, We are happy to share an update on our “RoboCup Humanoid Robot Program” with you. We have reached new agreements with Unitree and Booster, which will update the conditions and prices for existing platforms and introduce new ones. Booster will be adding the K1 RoboCup Edition, while Unitree will be adding the R1 robot to its portfolio. For more details on the updated prices and options, please visit our website: https://robotprogram.robocup.org/ We have streamlined the application process. Existing Soccer RoboCup teams (including soccer simulation) can now directly order the robots from the companies. New RoboCup teams will need to apply through our program. To apply, simply open the website, scroll down to the bottom, and click on the ‘Apply’ button. We are also excited to announce that Booster will be providing a pool of robots for RoboCup 2026. Here are the details: - For teams that bring 2 K1 robots, they will be eligible to receive up to 3 robots from the pool (we will have a total of 12 K1s available). - For teams that bring 1 T1 robot, they will be eligible to receive up to 2 robots from the pool (we will have a total of 8 T1s available). Dear RoboCuppers, We have created a consolidated Q&A document with a summary of the questions of the two digital sessions with Ubbo, the president of the RoboCup Federation, a group of Trustees and several RC members. The document attached to this email aims at answering questions raised by RC community about the trustees' vision shared with the committees and the community during RoboCup in Brazil. Nominations are solicited for the 2026 ACM SIGAI Autonomous Agents Research Award. This award is made for excellence in research in the area of autonomous agents. It is intended to recognize researchers in autonomous agents whose current work is an important influence on the field. The award is an official ACM award, funded by an endowment created by ACM SIGAI from the proceeds of previous Autonomous Agents conferences. The recipient of the award will receive a monetary prize and a certificate, and will be invited to present a plenary talk at the AAMAS 2026 conference. *************** How to Nominate *************** Anyone can make a nomination. Birk, "In-Presence, Take-Home, and Online Education: The State of Equipment Use and Practices in Robotics Labs and Other Hands-On Activities," IEEE Access, vol. 13, pp. 171984-171997, 2025. https://doi.org/10.1109/access.2025.3614055 Findings include: * Simulation is the most popular form of regularly used equipment. * 24% of the instructors do not regularly use robot hardware in labs. * Data-sets are particularly popular as occasionally used element. * In-presence use is the predominant access form for robot hardware * Among the alternatives to in-presence access, take-home hardware is clearly more popular than online, i.e., remote access to robots.
