Dear RoboCup Humanoid Soccer Community,

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the *First Italian Open RoboCup Humanoid Soccer Tournament*, a RoboCup Regional Event, which will take place on October 23-25, 2026, in Rome, Italy.

The tournament will be hosted within *Maker Faire Rome - The European Edition*, one of Europe’s major events dedicated to innovation, technology, creativity, and digital culture, offering teams the opportunity to present RoboCup and their research to a large international audience.

The event will focus entirely on the RoboCup Humanoid Soccer League, with competitions in: - Middle Division - Large Division

Depending on the participating teams and available robotic platforms, the tournament will include 3 vs 3 and 5 vs 5 matches, following the applicable RoboCup 2026 Humanoid Soccer League rules.

*Programme*

October 22 - Team Technical Setup Day October 23-25 - RoboCup Humanoid Soccer Competition October 25 (morning) - RoboCup Humanoid Soccer Workshop A short technical workshop that will bring together participating teams and invited speakers to discuss technical challenges, new humanoid platforms, and future directions.

*Support for International Teams* To encourage international participation, up to 10 international RoboCup teams may be selected to receive reimbursement of travel and accommodation expenses subject to the conditions described in the official Call.

The expected distribution is: - up to 6 Middle Division teams - up to 4 Large Division teams

In addition, Booster Robotics will provide technical support during the event, making additional robotic platforms available to complement those brought by participating teams.

*Registration* We invite all international RoboCup Humanoid Soccer teams to submit an Expression of Interest. Applications will be reviewed by the Technical Committee. Expression of Interest deadline: September 7, 2026.
