Humanoid League Rule Discussion Meeting

Dear Humanoid League Teams, in previous years we had the Rule Discussion on the Humanoid League forum. However, we did not see much interaction there. This year we are trying out something new. We will have an online meeting to discuss the proposals that were made during RoboCup and any new proposals you have. If you are interested in participating, please fill out this poll (https://bitpoll.mafiasi.de/poll/Tn3And53az/) to set the date of the meeting until Nov 29th at 9AM CET. The poll's time choices should be in your time zone. Please check on the very bottom at the page if the time zone is correct. Make sure that you put your team's name next to yours as well. Please message me (email or Discord) your rule proposals such that I can integrate them into the Agenda until Nov 29th 9AM at CET as well. Rohow 2023 - Call for Participation

Dear fellow RoboCup teams, After four years COVID-related hiatus, we are happy to announce that the 10th Robotic Hamburg Open Workshop (RoHOW) 2023 will again take place in-person at the Hamburg University of Technology! The event will take place from 2023-12-01 to 2023-12-03. The idea of the RoHOW is pretty simple: Sharing ideas in workshops and discussions or just hanging out together with a cool drink. We will have a full size field as well as couches, tables, large monitors, separate rooms for workshops, as well as food and drinks. Topics for talks, workshops, and discussion rounds are contributed by you and scheduled during the event. We already opened the scheduling tool at https://mopad.rohow.de/. Feel free to enter your topics there now. You will have to create a new account there to add topics. If you don't see your team name, let us know. You can find the location, schedule, and more at https://rohow.de/ After you decide to participate, please register until 2023-11-13 ;) Send us an email hulks(a)tuhh.de including your team name and number of participants so we can plan team zones, etc. As always, there is no participation fee. Good morning! Registrations are now open for RoboCup Brazil Open 2023! The event will occur from October 7th to 12th at the* Salvador Convention Center in Salvador, Bahia*. Registrations can be made through the website: http://olimpo.robocup.org.br/. RoboCup Brazil Open is a large event that also includes the Brazilian Robotics Competition, the Brazilian Robotics Olympiad, and the Brazilian Robotics Exhibition. Here some useful info. *Discord info from local organisation* As you may already know there is a discord channel managed by the local organisation for keeping you up with info. If you have not done it yet, please join https://discord.com/invite/WBR5Zq93AR *E**l**e**c**t**r**i**c**a**l**a**n**d **n**e**t**w**o**r**k **i**n**f**o**r**m**a**t**i**o**n* One RJ45 per team table will be provided in each major competition league. Each table will have a French electrical plug. Bring your own switch, but please remember that WiFi connection is forbidden. You also need to bring extension cords and universal plugs. *Join the OC and TC committees* We want you! 😁 We are looking for new members that can help in the organisation for next year. We welcome people from every team both for joining the Organisation Committee and Techinical Committee. People can be part of both commitees too. TC and OC new members are elected during the main competition, towards the end of the games, in one of the team leaders meeting. People can candidate themselves by adding their names in a list printed by the TC/OC and usually on a board near their table. Generally, both committees meet once for month, and tasks are splitted by members. In general, the Technical Committee is responsible for setting the laws of the game - proposing new/changes to the rule book and the roadmap, establishing technical challenges, and leading league software projects, etc.. The Organizing Committee is responsible for preparing and organizing the competition, making sure all requirements the teams/fields/and committees need are satisfied for the success of the competition.
