Good morning! Registrations are now open for RoboCup Brazil Open 2023! The event will occur from October 7th to 12th at the* Salvador Convention Center in Salvador, Bahia*. Registrations can be made through the website: http://olimpo.robocup.org.br/. RoboCup Brazil Open is a large event that also includes the Brazilian Robotics Competition, the Brazilian Robotics Olympiad, and the Brazilian Robotics Exhibition. BadgerBots Usage of B-Human 2022 Code Release

Dear RoboCup 2023 Standard Platform League Technical Committee and SPL teams, We are team BadgerBots, a new SPL team from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. In accordance with the terms and conditions of the B-Human code release 2022 license, we wish to announce the use of B-Human’s 2022 code release. Our codebase is built upon B-Human’s codebase infrastructure and uses B-Human modules for walking, perception, Skills and Cards behavior architecture, whistle recognition, and simulation tools. Our main original contribution is the development of team coordination, strategy and individual robot behaviors using deep reinforcement learning, including necessary code for learning these behaviors and appropriate safety layers for the robot’s decisions. Additionally we use our own dynamic role switching code. We wish to thank B-Human for releasing their code which has been invaluable for enabling a first-time team to participate in RoboCup SPL. Rinobot-Jaguar Code Usage

DutchNaoTeam announce HULKs code usage

Dear RoboCup 2023 Standard Platform League Technical Committee, Dear RoboCup SPL teams, In accordance with the terms and conditions of the HULKs license, the Dutch Nao Team announces the use of HULKs code for the RoboCup 2023. We use the HULKs framework, including walking, whistle detection, ball detection, localisation and behaviours. We modified and use our own implementation of: - Robot-to-robot communication - GameController communication - Behaviours We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the HULKs Team for graciously sharing their code and significantly contributing to the RoboCup SPL, fostering collaboration and innovation within the robotic soccer community! SPQR Team announce B-Human 2021 code usage

Dear RoboCup 2023 Standard Platform League Technical Committee, Dear RoboCup SPL teams, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the B-Human code release 2021's license, the SPQR Team announces the use of the B-Human code from the release 2021 for the RoboCup 2023. We use some of the native B-Human modules including walking, simulation, whistle recognition, calibration, and the Skills and Card behavior design system. Instead, we use our own code for coordination, multi-robot distributed decision-making, and part of the robot's perception. The following parts of the SPQR Team code are original: - Visual perception (Ball Perception <https://github.com/SPQRTeam/SPQRBallPerceptor>, Robot perception, Referee gesture recognition) - Team coordination and strategy, including planners <https://github.com/EmanueleMusumeci/RoboCup-coach> - Behaviors - Motion primitives (besides get-ups) and ball-approaching controller The following parts are modifications of the original B-Human code: - Dynamic network adaptation - Data fusion among the robots We would like to thank the B-Human Team for sharing their code and acknowledge their contribution to the RoboCup SPL. RedBackBots Code-Use Notification

Dear RoboCup SPL Teams, The RMIT University RedbackBots team is excited as we gear up for our participation in the main competition at the 2023 RoboCup SPL Tournament in Bordeaux, France. Today, we would like to express our gratitude and acknowledge contributions from various sources that have shaped the codebase for the RMIT University RedbackBots in 2023. We acknowledge the use of the 2019 code release of rUNSWift, in accordance with the license conditions, as the foundation of our codebase. We also acknowledge their support in running aspects of their codebase and providing training data/models for vision modules. RedBackBots has made significant enhancements to robot behaviours, skills, audio detection, communication, and various code adaptations throughout. We have notable focus on adapting the build and sync scripts, vision, and infrastructure. We acknowledge the use of the Build infrastructure from the B-Human 2022 code release, in accordance with the license conditions. Specifically, we note the use of the infrastructure to build and create a bootable Nao-Image, and the use of the Nao V6 Camera driver that is compatible with the Nao-image. We also acknowledge the contributions of NaoDevils to this infrastructure. We have integrated this infrastructure with the rUNSWift codebase and intend to release this work as part of the requirements of the 2023 rules. We have also acknowledged this code-use in our SPL qualification application. The expertise and insights of these teams, and the wider RoboCup SPL community has been a substantial aid in our team's software development. We are keen to contribute to the advancement of the RoboCup community. We look forward to joining the community in person, forging new friendships, and witnessing outstanding robot soccer matches.
