Dear Teams, We are writing to inform you that, as we have been informed of issues regarding information on shipping costs for the robots, the participation confirmation period has been extended until the 27th of February 2026. Teams that have already confirmed their participation but find that they need to withdraw due to unexpected issues with shipping costs may do so without penalty until the 27th of February as well. We hope this extension provides additional flexibility as you finalize your arrangements. A further extension, however, will be difficult, as we will need to know the number of teams we can assign a spot in the 2nd Call by the extended date. Dear all, We hereby publish the Second Call for Participation for RoboCup@Home 2026, which will take place from June 30 to July 6, 2026 in Incheon, South Korea. RoboCup is an international scientific initiative with the goal to advance the state of the art of intelligent robots through competitions (RoboCup@Home, RoboCup Soccer, RoboCup Rescue, RoboCup@Work and RoboCup Junior). The RoboCup@Home league aims to develop service and assistive robot technology with high relevance for future personal domestic applications. It is the largest international annual competition for autonomous service robots and is part of the RoboCup initiative. A set of benchmark tests is used to evaluate the robots’ abilities and performance in a realistic home environment setting. Focus lies on the following domains but is not limited to: Human-Robot-Interaction and Cooperation, Navigation and Mapping in dynamic environments, Computer Vision and Object Recognition under natural light conditions, Object Manipulation, Adaptive Behaviors, Behavior Integration, Ambient Intelligence, Standardization and System Integration. Cologne with its welcoming vibe offers a captivating mix of culture, architecture, history, and lively atmosphere. From the awe-inspiring Cologne Cathedral — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — to its dynamic art scene and riverside cafés along the Rhine, the city invites exploration. For example, visitors can enjoy world-class museums, the walkable old town with many bars, or festive events like the Cologne Carnival. Cologne is a perfect destination for both history lovers and urban adventurers and a great host for RoboCup German Open 2026. In a recent and exciting development, UR-RAD has partnered with the Quori social robot community! Select UR-RAD contributions relevant to the Quori community will be eligible for sponsored participation support to attend UR-RAD 2025! Please see the bottom of this CFP for more information. Note that ALL submissions, regardless of whether the authors request Quori participation support, will be subject to the same quality and review standards, submission dates, and submission types. Papers that have already been submitted are also eligible for participation support if the necessary requirements are met. ========================= General Symposium Information ========================= Capturing a desired task or interaction as a computational artifact (i.e., a representation) has long played a pivotal role in robotics. Many robotic subfields have traditionally employed a variety of different representational techniques, such as LTL, planning languages, social representations, natural language, and many more. These representations, however, lack cohesion in when and how they are applied. The 3rd Symposium on Unifying Representations for Robot Application Development (UR-RAD) therefore aims to increase interaction between junior and senior researchers, support in-progress research, and cultivate collaboration. Specifically, the Quori community is interested in topics and representations of speech-based behaviors including linguistics (speech recognition, text-to-speech, syntax of language, etc.) and vocalics (volume, pitch, rate, etc.), as well as body language-based behaviors, including proxemics (social spacing), haptics (touch), oculesics (eye gaze), kinesics (face, hand, and body gestures), deixis (spatial referencing), and chronemics (turn-taking and back-channeling). Thinking critically about these representations is essential to shaping Quori and the next generation of social robot platforms. We welcome paper submissions (long, short, or abstract-only) on Quori-relevant topics including, but not limited to: * Novel representations for social behavior: How might human-robot interactions be represented in a standardized way across open robot platforms, such as Quori? * Surveys or reflective analyses: What trends or insights from past social robotics work (including the social behaviors listed above) might shape the design of hardware, software, aesthetic, character, behaviors, etc.? * Standardized representations: What formalizations could support reusability and generalization between deployments of different models of social robots? * Stakeholders: Who are the intended users and developers of social robots like Quori, and how do their needs shape design of representations for application development? * End-user development and learning: In the advent of technology like large language models (LLMs) and foundation models, what robot behaviors should be manually authored vs. autonomously learned? What are the implications of these decisions for how various types of users and developers interact with them? * Physical form factor: How does a robot's physical embodiment shape or constrain underlying representations? * Software infrastructure: What existing and novel software systems can support robots (such as Quori) for autonomous or teleoperated human-robot interactions?
