On behalf of the Portuguese Association for Artificial Intelligence (APPIA), we are pleased to announce the Advanced School on Artificial Intelligence (EAIA 2026), which will take place on July 23-24, 2026, at the Santiago Campus of the University of Aveiro, Portugal.
EAIA 2026 is a premier event dedicated to exploring the latest frontiers of AI, structured around four core pillars:
* Foundations of Data & Signal Processing
* Reinforcement Learning & Autonomous Systems
* Natural Language Processing & Human-AI Collaboration
* AI for Healthcare & Bio-Medical Informatics
The two-day intensive program features hands-on tutorials and keynote talks delivered by distinguished international experts:
* Abbas Abdolmaleki (Google DeepMind)
* Armando J. Pinho (University of Aveiro)
* Beatriz S. Santos (University of Aveiro)
* Luisa Coheur (University of Lisbon)
* Victor Alves (University of Minho)
* Zita Marinho (University of Lisbon)
[SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS AVAILABLE] To support the academic community, EAIA 2026 is offering 15 scholarship grants for students, researchers, and young professionals. Grants include a €150 registration fee subsidy and complementary accommodation in Aveiro.
