Dear Maike,
Thank you for the detailed clarification. Before we go into the details, we would like to propose a Zoom meeting to align on the remaining details ahead of the event. We are available on Thursday, June 18th or Friday, June 19th after 20:00 KST (UTC+9). Or alternatively on Monday, June 22nd or Tuesday, June 23rd around 15:00 - 17:00(UTC+9). Please let us know which works best for you.
In the meantime, please find our responses to your questions below.
Regarding your questions: Camera and streaming setup testing – Our full setup will be ready on July 1st, with test recording available from the afternoon onward. Camera and crew availability on Wednesday (July 1st) – Yes, at least one camera and crew will be available on Wednesday. Studio setup and fixed camera location – We are planning a studio setup. Regarding the fixed camera location, we would like to discuss this further in Zoom meeting with you. Video mixing/editing – Our producer will be handling the mixing of the camera streams.
Regarding our production team and setup: We would like to clarify that we have a full production team in place, including a camera director, producer, and technical crew. We will also have interpreters on-site. For cut scenes and breaks, we are planning to air key visuals and sponsor videos. We are currently in the process of arranging professional reporters as local hosts for the stream.
Request for support: We would greatly appreciate the Federation's assistance in sourcing league-specific commentators who can join our hosts during the stream. If the Federation is able to facilitate this, it would be very helpful to align on this as soon as possible. Regarding interviews — while we have not made specific arrangements at this stage, we are open to accommodating them if the Federation could assist with scheduling coordination.
Zoom meeting: We would like to propose a Zoom meeting to align on the remaining details ahead of the event. We are available on Thursday, June 18th or Friday, June 19th after 20:00 KST (UTC+9). Or alternatively on Monday, June 22nd or Tuesday, June 23rd around 15:00 - 17:00(UTC+9). Please let us know which works best for you.

The production is expected to be fully run by the local organizing committee. This is how it was done in 2024 in Eindhoven and 2025 in Salvador. The Federation does not have a dedicated team to run the production, especially not on such a short notice. Running the production includes the technical setup, but also the production team that oversees scheduling and direction on set, plus providing the hosts for the stream. As a Federation, we are happy to support in planning the production beforehand and on-site. For example, we happily facilitate the communication with the leagues, help the scheduling and get commentators for the individtual games from the leagues. With more lead-up time, we would have been able to also provide more people to run the on-site production. We have experienced teams from 2024 and 2025 and Germany; however, with less than two weeks of a heads up, there is little we can do. This is why we had asked you to meet with us already back in January. Unfortunately, we have not received any information or any request for help from your end until now. Here is what we will be able to provide during the competition: - Patricia, who is in CC and who has led the production last year, will be there to help you with the production and the scheduling. However, she has other duties to fulfill for the Federation, so she cannot be the lead producer. She will provide you with a minimum list of staff members that are required on-site to run the production shortly. - We also have Sina joining us in person, who is a professional media engineer. She can produce break screens and animations for the stream. - Junior has kindly agreed to make two volunteers available part-time that support the production, especially for the communication with the different teams on site. - Our team will facilitate the communication with the leagues on-site and enusre each game has a commentator and people for interviews - We may be able to provide support for the hosts of the stream. However, it is necessary for you to have at least two local hosts that are able to speak fluent English and Korean for the stream and that are happy to be on camera. We have a set of additional questions for you: - When will the cameras and the streaming setup be ready for testing? - Will at least one camera plus crew be available on Wednesday already so we can record videos for cut scenes and breaks? - Is there a studio setup planned, or where will the fixed camera be located? - Do you have a professional editor who will be mixing the images from the different camera streams together? Regarding the schedule: As RoboCup is a very dynamic event, the schedule for the next day will only be finalized the evening of the day beforehand. This will be done in cooperation with the individual leagues and is a complex process. It is set up to ensure that all leagues will get screen time and that we schedule each league when there is an exciting match or event happening. Patricia will be happy to help whoever leads the production on your end wth the scheudle. Kind regards Maike Am 16.06.2026 um 07:18 schrieb Robocup(로보컵):

Regarding the second point, we would like to clarify our understanding as well. The LOC is prepared to provide the streaming infrastructure and technical setup. However, we would like to ask whether it would be possible for the RCF or the respective leagues to assist with providing hosts and league-specific commentators. Before we discuss it, I would like to clarify two points: - What days are you planning to make the stream available? Here is more information regarding the streaming setup required: - Minimum resolution of 1080p (1920 × 1080 pixels) with a frame rate of 30 - please have a look at the Twitch FAQs for further information https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/broadcasting-guidelines?language=en_US - The setup of cameras and microphones depends on the setup you choose. At a minimum, you need to ensure that the cameras can provide HD videos for the full scale of an arena (e.g., in Soccer this would be up to 22m in MSL). Regular face cameras like webcams are not sufficient for that as they are not able to provide sharp pictures at that distance. The camera setup needs to be able to cover the entire arena or mobile enough to follow the robots operating in the arena (i.e., you need more stationary cameras that are not moveable to cover the entire field of play compared to having mobile cameras with camera operators). - You need to have enough equipment to cover all or most of the Major finals on the last day. You may choose to switch cameras between setups, but you need to ensure that we always have a camera image to stream even if there is a reconfiguration of the setup going on - You need to have enough microphones to provide commentary for all games that are streamed. This can include using audio equipment located at the fields anyway and ask teams to comment the games; or it can entail having a studio setup with just two microphones of people that comment all games. - You need to have a dedicated setup to mix the different video and sound sources together. The final output of this needs to be ready to integrat with a standard Twitch stream. We will provide you with the streamkey for access. Any standard broadcasting software should be able to integrate with Twitch. - For the English language commentary, you can either recruit people from the individual leagues to provide comments during the games, or have a dedicated studio-like setup with a fixed group of commentators. If you go for the latter, you need to ensure that your commentators are very knowledgeable in all leagues and have plenty of RoboCup experience to be able to talk though an entire stream You are welcome to have a look at last year's live stream in Brazil, for example at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2D98OVM1VA Or the one from 2024: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuV1kGRU6bs Cheers Maike Am 02.06.2026 um 09:30 schrieb Robocup(로보컵):

We are currently discussing the most efficient uploading methods internally and will keep you updated as soon as they are finalized. To ensure we align perfectly with your expectations while managing our budget effectively, we would highly appreciate it if RCF could provide the minimum requirements for the broadcast technical specifications. As we are working within a strictly allocated budget for this project, knowing your baseline standards will help us optimize our resources and deliver the most cost-effective solution. Specifically, please guide us on the following: - Minimum technical specifications and quality standards (resolution, frame rate, audio format, etc.) - Essential camera and microphone configurations - Any specific requirements for stream integration with your Twitch channel - Guidelines for English-language commentary (format, timing, technical setup) Once we receive these baseline guidelines, we will submit a comprehensive plan that meets your standards by 12 June.
