PhD Position in Field Robotics
My team is looking for a skilled and motivated PhD student for the development and implementation of navigation methods with passive sensor technology for trucks in challenging off-road environments.
Your Responsibilities:
* further development and implementation of navigation methods with passive sensor technology for trucks in challenging off-road environments * conducting and analyzing field tests * writing scientific publications Contributing to current and future project proposals * coordination with project partners Support in writing project reports * supervision of Bachelor's or Master's theses
Your Profile
Completed Master's or Diploma Degree in Robotics, Control Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or completion of an equivalent degree from a university or college.
Desired Qualification
* Experience with Autonomous Mobile Robots * Experience with Automated Navigation/Automated Driving in Off-road Environments * Experience with Vehicle Control Systems * Experience with Machine Learning in the Field of Perception and Control * Experience with Software Development for Robotic Systems (especially with ROS) * Social, Communication, and Didactic Competence * Team Player * Very good written and spoken English
