RoboCup Humanoid League Newsletter - March 2022
Dear Humanoid League Teams,
this is the March version of our monthly newsletter in which we will give you some updates on the preparation for the RoboCup 2022 world championship as well as a workshop we are organizing as part of the Virtual Season in the end of April 2022.
Rule Voting & Update Process ----------------------------- Based on the voting of the Humanoid League teams, the Technical Committee has prepared a final version of the rule book for the 2022 competition. It can be found here: https://humanoid.robocup.org/materials/rules/ For a summary of the voting results and respective changes, have a look at this forum post: https://hl.forum.robocup.org/t/results-of-the-2022-rule-voting/550
The period for teams to make comments about the final draft ends tomorrow. So if you haven't done so, please have a look at the draft and provide comments here: https://hl.forum.robocup.org/t/discussion-final-draft-of-the-hl-2022-rule-bo...
We are planning to release the final rule book early next week.
Qualification for RoboCup 2022 ------------------------------- The qualification process for RoboCup 2022 has finished and the list of qualified teams can now be found here: https://humanoid.robocup.org/hl-2022/teams/ Congratulations to all teams that were qualified for the competition! You will receive an official letter of acceptance together with further instructions for registration soon.
Save the date! Online workshop in the Humanoid League ------------------------------------------------------ On 28-30 April 2022 the Humanoid League organizes a virtual workshop specifically dedicated to sim2real learning! The aim of the workshop is to reflect on the lessons learned from the first Virtual Season and discuss about a path forward within the Humanoid League but also together with the 3D simulation league. The workshop will feature an invited talk by Marco Simões from the 3D simulation league as well as champions talks from the teams placed first, second and third in the virtual season. The remaining time slots are for the participants to design and we currently have an open call for workshop proposals (see Alessandra's e-mail for more information). We will soon have more information available on our website, but make sure you already mark the days in your calendar!
Cheers, Maike (for the Humanoid League Technical Committee)
