Hi YoungJe,
We've having some more discussion at our end and at this point it would be easiest if we could have an email address for the logistics company that the teams can reach out to. We can make sure this email address is well publicized.
Part of the problem with waiting until teams have registered and then having the logistics company contact them is that due to the high logistics costs in some past years, some teams are basing their decision to register on the estimated logistics cost and so will want to contact the logistics company prior to registering.
The other problem is that there isn't an easy way to provide external organizations with a "live feed" of the registered contact details. I suppose we could do it in batches but in such a case, it may still be faster for the teams to reach out to the logistics company themselves rather than wait for the next batch and then have the logistics company reach out to them. So I don't think this is likely to be practical.
What do you think?
Cheers!
- Raymond
P.S. Due to the number of people to be emailed for LOC related mattesr, we've decided to set up this mailing list to make sure no-one gets left out. Of course if, going forward, more people should be included, please let us know and we can add them to this mailing list.

Hi YoungJe,
Thank you for your email!
The registration process opens next week (assuming we have confirmation of the invitation letter template that Roberto emailed about) so right now we don't have any confirmed teams.
(Individual leagues might have qualified teams but not all qualified teams choose to come in the end.)
At this stage would it be better for you to give us an email address for the logistics contact that we could tell all teams to get in touch with?
Perhaps later on when we have more teams registered, we can also come up with a list of the teams that we can provide to cross reference and contact if they haven't already. Of course not all teams will need the services of the logistics company (eg simulation teams and teams with smaller robots who prefer to bring them themselves).
Thanks for the confirmation regarding Russian citizens.
Cheers!
Raymond

Dear Raymond Sheh, First of all, as mentioned earlier, we will update the logistics -related announcement on the RoboCup website. However, considering the schedule, the logistics guidelines should ideally be released in March so that robots can be shipped without any issues before the competition in June. Therefore, it would be helpful for us to obtain a contact DB even for the teams that have been confirmed so far. We would appreciate it if you could review this. As you are aware, Russia is currently involved in a war. Legally, there is no restriction preventing Russian citizens from entering the Republic of Korea. However, while we can provide an Invitation Letter, based on expert opinions, obtaining an entry visa may not be easy. Ultimately, we believe that securing the entry visa is the responsibility of the individual applicant. Regarding the template, we share your concern about misuse and the teams will only receive completed letters, not the blank template. I have forwarded the template to Roberto Bonilla, who is our Trustee in charge of registration. Thanks also for the information regarding the logistics provider! We appreciate the desire to proactively reach out to the teams. I will make some inquiries although at this time of year we usually only have a partial understanding of which teams are confirmed. Have you been able to get any further clarity regarding any local restrictions on Russian citizens? Cheers! - Raymond On 2026-03-12 10:25 PM, 김영제 wrote: > Dear All, > > Hi.
